In last Friday night's game, the Port Augusta Braves played Tigers in a top of the table clash. In the first innings, the Port Augusta side was unable to score. In contrast, The Tigers jumped out of the box scoring four runs.
The Braves were able to score one run in the top of the second due to the clutch hitting of Greg Hertel who batted in a run with two outs. When it was the Braves turn to take the field, the Tigers again scored runs at ease adding another five runs. With the Tigers up 9 to 1 the game seemed to be over.
The third inning saw the braves add three runs. Kenny Williams was able to drive in a run with two out and the Braves side appeared to be edging closer. The Tigers only added one run in the bottom of the third and took the lead 10 to 4.
